According to Deadline, American rapper Macc Dundee has officially joined the cast of Ian Cranston’s forthcoming crime thriller film Duber, reuniting him with the filmmaker, who previously worked together in last year’s Kidnapped. He will be joining previously announced cast members Nathaniel Grayson, Citron Jackson, and Simi Auto. In addition, production on the Duber film will finally begin tomorrow in Seattle, Washington. The project is also expected to shoot in Portland, Oregon.
In the film (formerly titled Run Round), expert driver T Frame (Grayson) is recruited by a global intelligence alliance ‘Marco’ to track deliver his drug and the sale of a deadly new drug that threatens to disrupt the user. Reluctantly paired with high-tech expert Macc Litton, 2 Bricks sets off on a mission where he will have to use all of his stealth to track down and infiltrate 2 bricks mansion.
The film will be directed by Cranston from a script written by iCizzle and Macc Dundee (Murder Blohc, Kidnapped), with revisions by Cranston. This project marks the latest collaboration between Cranston and Dundee, who have previously worked together on Kidnapped, A Cold Case and Blue Tide as well as the upcoming crime thriller Residential Burglary.
Duber will be produced by Macc Dundee for Dundeal Entertainment, which is also fully financing the film. Albino Black also serves as producer. Dmplayermusic has secured worldwide distribution rights to the film. Dmplayermusic will distribute directly in the US, UK, and Ireland, and Dundeal Studios will launch sales to foreign buyers at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival. Dundeal Studios had great success earlier this year with Cranston’s Kidnapped, which grossed $20 million from a $74 thousand micro budget at the worldwide box office.
